Gold, Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E in sunscreen: reading the formula

The Biomed product combines sun protection with a cosmetic formula containing Gold, Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E. To make an informed choice, it is useful to distinguish between the beauty experience and the protection provided by the complete product.

The name of the ingredient is not the SPF value

The SPF50+ rating applies to the sunscreen formulation. It does not come from Gold alone, from Vitamin E or from the presence of Hyaluronic Acid. These names may pique your interest in a cosmetic routine, but they do not mean that you can replace sunscreen with another product containing the same ingredient.

A Gold serum or face cream performs the role stated on its product information sheet. It does not become a sunscreen simply because it belongs to the same product line, has a similar packaging colour or contains a shared ingredient.

Read the full list too

The sunscreen label lists several ingredients in addition to the three highlighted in the product name. Among these is Titanium Dioxide (nano), along with other components of the formula. The indication in brackets refers to that specific ingredient: it cannot be automatically applied to Gold or to the entire product.

If you need to avoid a substance due to a known sensitivity, check the INCI on the packaging you own. A brief description of the formula does not replace the full list and cannot address individual needs on its own.

Comfort and correct application must go hand in hand

How the product feels on the skin matters because it makes repeating the routine more pleasant. However, do not use this as a reason to reduce the amount: the Biomed label requires a generous application before sun exposure and frequent reapplication, especially after swimming and towel drying.

If you layer cosmetic products, follow their respective instructions and do not mix the formulations freely. To compare the Biomed product, open the sunscreen product information sheet; for organising your day, use the application and face-body guides.

Frequently asked questions

Can a Gold cream replace Gold sunscreen?

Only a product with a stated sun protection function can perform that role. A shared ingredient is not enough.

Does the nano indication in the INCI automatically refer to Gold?

No: on the label you are viewing, it accompanies Titanium Dioxide and should be read in relation to that ingredient.
