Biomed for the environment

One less gesture, one more commitment.

As of July 1, 2026, empty 100 ml dispensers will no longer be automatically included as a complimentary gift with 500 ml products. This is not a sacrifice: it is a thoughtful choice to reduce unnecessary plastic, respect raw materials, and value what can be reused many times.

Why we chose this path

At Biomed, we often talk about balance: balance of the body, the mind, and our daily routine. But no personal balance can be complete if the environment around us is treated as an infinite resource.

For years, the empty 100 ml dispenser has accompanied many 500 ml products as a service gesture. Today, we have made a different assessment: if a bottle is reusable dozens of times, automatically including a new one in every order means producing plastic even when it is not truly needed.

The most concrete sustainability is not adding something "green" to your cart. Sometimes, it is choosing carefully what not to add.

Microplastics in the ecosystem observed in water with a lens

The problem isn't just visible plastic

Plastic is useful, durable, and often necessary. However, this very durability becomes a problem when the material is used only once or multiplied without real need.

According to UNEP, current plastic production and consumption practices pose a threat to health and the environment, and plastic waste could nearly triple by 2060 if the global scenario does not change. Furthermore, the OECD notes that only a limited portion of plastic waste is actually recycled.

Microplastics make the issue even more serious: they can result from the fragmentation of larger objects, disperse into water, soil, and air, and re-enter ecosystems in forms that are no longer visible to the naked eye.

Three reasons why reuse matters

1

Less material produced unnecessarily

Every dispenser that is already available and still usable avoids a new bottle, a new cap, a new pump, and an unnecessary logistical step.

2

More value for what lasts

A reusable container is not a disposable accessory. It is a tool designed to support multiple use cycles.

3

A shared choice, not an imposed one

Those who already have the dispenser can continue to use it. Those who need one can purchase it at a nominal price, rather than full price.

From July 1, 2026: what really changes

The 500 ml product remains the continuous choice. Only the automatic inclusion of the empty 100 ml dispenser changes: it will no longer be added as a complimentary gift indiscriminately.

If you already have a dispenser, we invite you to reuse it. If, however, you need a new bottle for travel, daily routine, or decanting, you can add the 100 ml dispenser to your order. We are making it available for €3,00 EUR instead of €7,00 EUR because we do not want to pass the economic burden of a decision rooted in Biomed's responsibility onto the customer.

We don't want to be more burdensome: we want to be more consistent

An environmental choice should not become an excuse to increase the burden on the customer. This is why Biomed has decided to almost entirely absorb the cost of the dispenser and make it available for €3,00 EUR instead of €7,00 EUR.

The difference is important: we are not removing a service to save money. We are changing an automatic process that produced material even when it was not necessary. And we are doing so while still leaving everyone the possibility of having a new dispenser when needed.

The Biomed community is not just made of people who choose products. It is made of people who share a more conscious way of experiencing well-being.

Biomed community united by reuse choices and environmental responsibility

A community of purpose

We are confident that this choice will be understood and appreciated by those who recognize in Biomed not just a brand, but a journey of innovation, attention, and responsibility.

Experiencing well-being also means asking ourselves how many resources we use, how many we waste, and which small gestures we can make more intelligent. A reused dispenser alone does not solve the global plastic problem. But a correct habit, repeated by many people, can change the way we look at the objects we use every day.

Without a healthy environment, personal well-being also loses part of its meaning. This is why Biomed will continue to develop products, routines, and operational choices that seek balance: for the individual, for the community, and for the world we share.

Frequently asked questions

Why are 100 ml dispensers no longer complimentary with 500 ml products?

As of July 1, 2026, the dispenser is no longer automatically included with 500 ml formats. You can reuse the one you own or purchase it separately at the updated price on its product page.

Can the 100 ml dispenser be reused?

Yes. If kept clean and used correctly, the dispenser can be reused many times. For this very reason, it makes no sense to add a new one to every order when it is not truly needed.

Does this choice increase the cost for the customer?

As of July 1, 2026, the dispenser is no longer automatically included with 500 ml formats. You can reuse the one you own or purchase it separately at the updated price on its product page.

Why does Biomed link personal well-being and the environment?

For Biomed, personal well-being only makes sense within a healthy environment. Our philosophy of balance concerns the body, the mind, and also how we use resources.

What can I do if I already have a dispenser?

You can continue to reuse it. It is the simplest gesture and the most consistent with this initiative: fewer useless bottles, less material produced, less waste.
