Iodine and Glutathione+: differences before combining them
Iodine spray and Glutathione+ have different components and instructions. Read the labels and clarify your choice, especially if you are undergoing thyroid therapy.
Why distinguish them before choosing
Iodine and glutathione are not two names for the same component. The Biomed Glutathione+ formula contains glycine, NAC, and L-Glutathione; the Biomed Iodine preparation contains double-distilled water and colloidal iodine. Generic research on wellness is not enough to establish that both meet the same need.
Iodine is a nutrient necessary for the production of thyroid hormones. It is precisely this role that makes the relevance of your choice important: do not add it automatically because you read an article about glutathione or because you feel tired.
Read dose and concentration separately
Biomed Iodine spray is presented in a 100 ml bottle at 600 ppm. The label states 500 micrograms of iodine per 10 sprays and indicates 10 sprays once a day. These are specific data for that product and should not be replaced by the frequency of other sprays.
Glutathione+ is instead in capsules: the indication is one capsule per day with plenty of water. These instructions describe the products separately; they do not constitute a combined program to be adopted without considering your personal situation.
When the thyroid enters the equation
The NIH points out that excessive iodine intake can create problems and that iodine supplements can interfere with some medications, including antithyroid drugs. If you have a thyroid condition or are undergoing therapy, show your doctor the full label before choosing.
Also, gather any multivitamins or other products containing iodine. Do not interpret a generic symptom as proof of deficiency and do not change a therapy to include a new bottle.
Two useful paths
To learn about glycine, NAC, and L-Glutathione, you can find the guide to the Glutathione+ formula. For the Iodine spray, consult its product sheet and the packaging label. If the request concerns a medical report, the reference is the professional who knows your clinical picture: they can give meaning to the data before they become a shopping list.
